Illinois never had statewide inspections but they did have inspections in most cities and towns.
This sticker is a reproduction of our very earliest tax/Registration/Inspection sticker.
We have been told that all vehicles in the Chicago area were required to have this tag (The original was aluminum) on their vehicles.
The vehicle was required to have a horn and working brakes. (Lights were apparantly not required in 1919)
