This awesome 1942 gas ration tax stamp was issued to everyone with an automobile after paying a one time tax fee of $2.09.
We have finally obtained four different ones after several years of searching.
This 1942 Federal tax sticker has been meticulously restored and reproduced front and back, identical to the originals.
Slightly larger than your average postage stamp, this stamp measures 1 1/2 inches across by 2 inches high.
It was to be placed on the front windshield next to the A gas ration sticker everyone was required to have.
