1986 California inspection sticker (Estimated)

California began roadside inspections in 1963 although they had inspections as far back as the 1930's If a car was stopped for defective equipment the owner would have the car repaired and the garage would give them a safety sticker.

We do not know what the last year for California inspections were.

They definately ended sometime in the 80's but by popular demand we have created this 1986 sticker based on the last known original we have, (1984).

This sticker would have been issued sometime during 1986 and expired in December
