1933 New Jersey Safety Check Inspection Sticker

The first NJ Inspection station opened in January 1939, nearly a year late, after the announced date. A few inspection stickers were handed out in 1938 at spot checks since they had already been printed. Previously, there were spot checks where cars were inspeced for brakes and lights.

This 1933 NJ inspection sticker is a replica of a sticker placed on a repaired car by a garage mechanic after failing a roadside spot check. and voluntary inspections by dealers on cars being sold.
