1929 New Jersey safety check Inspection Sticker

This 1929  New Jersey Inspection Sticker seems to ignore the fact that NJ actually opened the first inspection station in 1938.

There were roadside spot checks back then for brakes and lights, and a safety sticker similar to this one was issued to cars that had failed and been repaired, and also used car dealers offered them to show their vehicles were safe.
