This 1970 California classic windshield Inspection sticker was introduced late in 1963 and was used by the California Highway Patrol at roadside stops. The original stickers were placed on the outside of the car mainly because the stickers were originally aimed at rogue motorcycle owners.
CHPS (California Highway Patrol) continued inspections until 1977.
To maintain authenticity, we have made the stickers to go on the outside of the windshield.
It is made with a waterproof vinyl to withstand weather.
This sticker identifies the year of your car.
This sticker is designed with our patented "Peel and Stick" format allowing you to place it on your windshield OUTSIDE your car.
For an additional $5.00, we can send you a sticker with adhesive on the front to attach to the INSIDE of your windshield.
This was the last time California used a one year expiration date before 1977 or later.
Here, this sticker had a one year expiration date but they began issuing stickers every six months from July, 1970 to December, 1975. (See the later 1970 sticker by clicking on, 1970-12)
