1940 Ohio Registration/inspection sticker

This amazing 1940 Ohio sticker was issued in 1940 to verify the current registration as there were no plates issued.

The sticker also identifies the vehicle as passing a safety inspection.

For an additional $10. your license plate number can be added to the front of this sticker.

Ohio never had a statewide inspection program before 1966, before then, stickers were only issued after spot checks discovered problems. Stickers were issued by the garage after the repair was made.

Ohio spot checks are being held even today and a sticker issued if car passes inspection.

This sticker is a faithful restored and reproduced work, identical to the original in which this sticker was taken, An inspection also took place to affirm the car was safe.
