This 1949 North Carolina Inspection sticker has surfaced, the second one dispelling the belief that 1966 was the first in NC. We know that NC had inspections in 1948.
Many states had inspections to a degree on brakes, horn and lights when the car was registered but PA is the earliest known state to have inspection stations in 1928.
This sticker is an exact reproduction of an original we have in our archives.
It has our patented "Peel And Stick" format that allows you to attach it to the inside passenger side of your windshield.
We are looking for stickers not displayed here. We will buy any original for a reasonable price or make a free sticker of your choice for a good photo of an original, front and back.
This sticker can be ordered with your own antique license plate number printed where the No. now appears, for an additional $10.00.
Thanks to Bobby Evans of Jacksonville, NC for finding the original. (2009)
