The first NJ Inspection station opened in January 1939, nearly a year late, after the announced date. A few inspection stickers were handed out in 1938 at spot checks since they had already been printed. Previously, there were spot checks where cars were inspeced for brakes and lights.

NJ actually had roadside inspections as far back as 1915 where Safety Check certificates and stickers were issued for cars deemed worthy of being on the road, where there were roads.

We can reproduce a sticker for you as far back as 1915. Order this one and attach a note as to your desired year.

This 1925 NJ inspection sticker is a replica of a sticker placed on a repaired car by a garage mechanic after failing a roadside spot check. and voluntary inspections by dealers on cars being sold.

Your QQ license plate number can be added for an additional $10.00
